THIS REPORT CAN BE COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS

As part of the University Police Department's continuing effort to reduce crime on campus, the "Silent Witness" reporting program provides the community with an opportunity to report incidents or provide tips anonymously.

The University Police Department is constantly patrolling the campus in an effort to make sure you are safe and secure. Our campus is large enough that officers cannot be everywhere; we need your help. Please let us know about crime that is happening in your area. If you see a crime, and would feel more comfortable reporting it anonymously, you may leave your contact information blank while filling out this report.

Please describe the circumstances in as much detail as possible. Include as much descriptive information as you can, actions of people or vehicles involved, what seemed strange to you about the situation, etc. If a vehicle was involved in the circumstances you are reporting, please describe how it was involved. If possible include make, model, year, license plate number and state, color, type, and anything unusual.

If you are reporting an incident or crime that happened in Isla Vista please click here to make a report it to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department. This can also be an anonymous report.

For crimes commited on the UCSB campus: Click on the button below to file a report to the UCSB Polic Department, which will be followed up on by the department's investigative unit.

When we receive your on-line report, we will pass your information on to the appropriate officer. If there are results from the information that you have given us, and you provided contact information, we can contact you as to the outcome by e-mail.

Thank you for participating in our on-line reporting system.
