21 years of age or older.
Equivalent to high school diploma. College degree preferable.
Weight proportionate to height.
Vision no less than 20/100, correctable to at least 20/30
in both eyes. Functional color vision.
Free from disability obstructive to job performance.
No felony convictions (pursuant to Government Code Section
1029).
Possession of valid Class-C California Driver's License and
Ambulance driver's license with a safe driving record as evidenced
by a DMV report.
Successful completion of oral interviews, medical examinations,
and extensive background investigation.
Ability and willingness to work in a university environment
rich in diversity containing a wide variety of ethnicities,
cultures, nationalities, religions, sexual orientations, etc.
Ability and willingness to work in an environment, which
demands high integrity, accountability and involvement in
the community as a problem solving resource.
Possess State of California Paramedic certificate and County
of Santa Barbara Paramedic certificate.
Be willing to work 24-hour shifts, 56 hour/week, and unscheduled
shifts as they occur.
